| Toyonaka Astronomical Society was founded in 1983, by those who loved stars
and astronomy and who lived around Osaka. The present number of members is 35 regular
members, and 2 associate members. We have members not only in the Osaka area but in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Shizuoka, and Chicago. The main activities are the star gazing with telescopes. We sometimes go camping for observing stars and astrophotographing. Besides, the activities other than astronomy are popular among the members, such as bird watching, amateur HAM radio, skiing, playing tennis, seeing cherry blossom, digging up potatoes and so on. . |
| The regular meeting is held in the Guest Hall of Toyonaka City on the first
Sunday every month. At the regular meetings, we have the report of the observation, a little study meeting concerning astronomical phenomena and mainly chat happily. What's the Toyonaka City Guest Hall like? See this! To know more about us, contact us ! |
